Roshans donate Rs.
2 million for Gujarat Relief Fund
Teenage
heart-throb, Hrithik Roshan and father Rakesh handed over cheques of
Rs 1 million each to the Vilasrao Deshmukh, Maharashtra Chief Minister
on February 1 in aid of the earthquake victims in Gujarat.
Rakesh Roshan said that Hrithik was to perform in a charity show for the Prime Minister's Relief Fund on February 3 in Delhi. Unfortunately, the show had to be postponed due to unavoidable circumstances, (It may be recalled that the Delhi police had denied permission to the show claiming lack of staff and prior commitments. The show is now rescheduled for 23 Feb.)
He
added that they wanted to help the earthquake victims in their
individual capacity. While their money cannot wipe out the losses of
so many lives, they hope and pray that their contribution helps remove
some of the physical hardships faced by the victims.
