Abhishek opts out of Venus film

 The
grapevine is abuzz that Arjun Ramphal has replaced
Abhishek Bachchan in Venus' next, to be directed by
Abbas-Mustan and co-starring Bobby Deol. The reason
offered was that Yash Johar had signed Abhishek for
his next production and his dates were clashing with
the dates the actor had allotted to Venus' project.
However, Ganesh Jain denied that Abhishek had played
dirty. According to him, the decision to part ways
was arrived after both Venus and Abhishek sat down
to sort out the dates. "Abhishek was kind
enough to call us and make us aware of the fact. He
showed keen interest in doing the film, but he also
added that we would have to wait for the dates,
which would delay our launch," Jain clarified.
