first! Not many are aware that Ashutosh Gowariker
had approached Shah Rukh Khan to produce the film
after Aamir Khan rejected the idea initially.
Actually, Aamir wasn’t too convinced with the
brief outline of the film that Ashu had narrated,
which prompted the director to approach SRK to
produce the film. But, by then, Aamir had another
meeting with Ashu and things fell into place. Aamir
heard the complete narration and decided to produce
the film himself.
