Shilpa Shetty files a lawsuit against Stardust for Rs. 20 crores
Actress Shilpa Shetty has filed a defamation lawsuit of Rs. 20 crores in the Bombay High Court against stardust for publishing an article on her personal life which has damaged her reputation.

Shilpa's lawyer Satish has filed the petition which claims that the articles published by Stardust from October 2000 were false and imaginary and were directed to tarnish her reputation. Stardust reported that she broke off with Akshay Kumar since she had developed close relations with Salman. The current issue went a step further and reported her affair with a married man. While claiming the monetary damages, Shilpa has also urged the court to order Stardust to withdraw all the said copies from the market and prohibit them from publishing such articles in the near future.

The moral of the story : If one publishes false news, it will fall from the stars and bite the dust!

Unconfirmed sources point the finger at Salman in the case
Mumbai police commissioner M. Narain Singh has said the stars of Chori Chori Chupke Chupke would not be investigated in the Bharat Shah case. "We are not going to call any film star for questioning. We are only investigating people against whom we have concrete evidence," Bombay police commissioner M.N. Singh told reporters. Asked whether two other films funded by Shah and ready for release will be investigated, he said: "Unless there is evidence against any other film producer about his links with the underworld, we cannot make arrests."

The police said they had recorded another conversation between Shah and Shakeel on Rizvi's cell phone concerning extortion money due from a businessman Morani and havala dealings of Dubai-based Bhatija. According to senior police sources, there are three taped conversations and one of them contains a dialogue between a top bollywood star and Chhota Shakeel about payments to be made for a film that he had signed. The police has declined to name the star at the moment.

Meanwhile a special court adjourned Shah's petition urging for release of negatives of the movie Chori Chori Chupke Chupke from police custody to January 15. The petition was adjourned after Public Prosecutor Rohini Salian sought time to file her say in this matter on the ground that Shah could not be interrogated sufficiently on account of his ill health.

Bollywood film financier Bharat Shah arrested by crime branch
Mumbai : Bollywood film financier Bharat Shah was arrested by the crime branch for his alleged links with underworld don Chhota Shakeel. He will be in police custody till January 18. Police said they had the tape of a telephonic conversation between Shah and Shakeel, underworld activities. Chori Chori, Chupke Chupke, was embroiled in a controversy last month when its producer Nazim Rizvi was arrested for alleged links with Shakeel.

Shah was produced before the special court of A P Bhangale, appointed under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, and was remanded in police custody till January 18. He has been permitted to have home-cooked food and meet his counsel

Akshay clarifies that no sequel is being made to Hera Pheri
Sometime back, it was reported in a section of the press that producer Firoz A. Nadiadwala was planning to make a sequel to Hera Pheri. The report also mentioned that he had roped in the same team of Priyan, Akshay, Sunil, Tabu and Paresh Rawal. However, when we spoke to Akshay about this development, he denied that he had been approached for any such project. "Firoz has not had any discussions with anyone connected to the team. The news is a figment of someone's imagination," Akshay smiled. That sets the record straight!

Aftaab will use every trick to win Amisha from her father
